Since the creation of our company, we believe in the benefits of mutual respect and sharing. This belief – which is part of our DNA – structures the relationships we have with our team members. It is by working together, hand in hand, that we ensure the sustainability of our jobs and build an appreciable work environment.

In this article we would like to give you some examples of the non-mandatory rules that we, the directors of de Buedemleër, wanted to introduce in the company.
Training, well-being and safety at work:
In order to constantly improve the know-how of the whole team and to maintain a pleasant and safe working environment, we continuously invest in the training of our staff and in the acquisition of efficient equipment. This takes the form of:
- initial and ongoing training;
- modern tools and machines;
- vans equipped with professional shelving;
- work clothes and safety devices;
- the implementation of the 5S methodology to improve work organization.

Motivate and improve the work environment
Motivation obviously also includes signs of salary recognition, so we propose:
- two attendance bonuses per year;
- one performance bonus per year;
- bonuses for arduous and/or less pleasant work;
- additional vacations linked to seniority;
- each employee’s birthday is his or her personal holiday.

A policy of vertical and horizontal exchange between the members of the team which includes:
- an annual exchange framework (formal, structural and systematic) between the employees and their manager via the ECAUD (creative development exchanges – FR: échange créatif au développement);
- a management that is always attentive to employees and concerned with meeting the needs (professional and private) of all team members;
- respect for the need for balance between private and professional life. Implementation of flexible working hours (in the office), part-time work, parental leave (also for dads) and additional vacations.

Animate the life of the company during informal moments
We do not forget to spend good moments together by organizing several extra-professional activities during the year:

visit SES and Rebierg water tower in Hivange
- excursions, teambuildings and participation in outdoor group activities;

Accrobranche at “Parc Le’h Adventures”

Lasergame in Hollerich

Karting in Mondercange

Crocus escape room
- a family celebration that welcomes family members and former employees;

Summer party at the Prënzebierg
- christmas meal.

We look to the future
In order to ensure that the pool of trained technical personnel is sufficient and renewed, it is important that professional actors like us get involved in training young apprentices. We have therefore set up our training program “Leier by de Buedemleër”, which gives young people the opportunity to learn a trade and gives them perspectives. The realization of an international exchange of apprentices, earned us the award for the best training company in 2017.

As mentalities evolve and given the shortage of qualified workers in the professions we offer, we are aware that in order to attract new generations we must create a pleasant working atmosphere for everyone.
Conclusion
Family and artisanal company since 1994. We are aware that the success of the company can only be achieved with a professional and motivated team. We have always asked a lot from our employees, but we also give a lot, as shown by our values, 4 out of 6 of which are oriented towards the interests of our employees:
