When I joined de Buedemleër, I had no qualification in the trade. But my motivation was enough for them to give me a chance — and that is something I do not forget.
I started as a fitter's assistant, observing and learning the movements. Little by little, I was given more responsibility. Today I fit floor coverings, but also blinds and curtains — a trade I would never have imagined mastering a few years ago.
What I really like is the atmosphere in the team. We laugh, we challenge each other — everyone has their own methods, and we share them. It pushes you to question yourself and improve constantly. There is no negative competition, rather an emulation that pulls everyone upwards.
The afterworks and company events matter too. They help you get to know your colleagues better, including the office team you see less often on site.
The managers really do listen. And if you need a tool or a machine to do your job well, you just have to say so. Nobody asks us to make do with insufficient means. Here, we are given the means to do work we can be proud of.
